This is a school project made in groups, where we were asked to make a visual identity for the contemporary art space called Kunsthal 6100.The art space had a logo already, but it was missing a way to communicate their vision as well as the concerts, exhibitions and workshops that they host.
The art space is located in a small city and relies on local volunteers, but also wants to appeal to citizens nationwide. Our idea is based on the small colorful Post-It’s that everyone knows. They are a symbol of creativity and collaboration, and combined with handwriting and crossed out words, we created an informal and approachable feel.
My specific tasks were making the handwriting, the folder, SoMe and part of the website.

Below are pictures of: 1. poster a3 size, 2. folder/portfolio 594 x 210 mm, 3. stickers 7,6 x 7,6 cm ( like original post-its ;) ), 4. business card 7,6 x 7,6 cm as well, 5. video of website, 6. logo and cover for facebook and 7. sign outside the building
The art space questions what art is and challenges people to think outside the box and we did that as well through our design.
The headlines say, for example, "Art is a painting in a frame", but then "a painting in a frame" is crossed out, and replaced with "a fountain full of fruit". This is how we play with words and humor to challenge common prejudices about art.
